Hurzeler, the youngest manager in the Premier League, has guided Brighton to a strong position in contention for a spot in next season’s Champions League. The south coast club has now announced that the German tactician has committed to a new deal that will keep him at the Amex Stadium until the summer of 2029.

“I love working for this club and living in the city, and I’m delighted to have reached a new agreement,” Hurzeler told the club’s official media channels. “Having this long-term commitment from the club is an honor, and it only strengthens my desire to succeed and fulfill our shared long-term vision. From the start, our goal has always been to forge an identity, develop the team, challenge the status quo, and raise our level every day. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved so far and even more excited for what’s to come.”

Chairman Tony Bloom added: “Since his arrival, Fabian has continued the progress the club has shown in recent seasons with consistent performances on the pitch and has developed a very clear playing identity. In the current campaign, he has built on the foundations laid in his first year, when he guided us to a commendable eighth-place finish. During his tenure, the team has shown resilience, intensity, and control. With three games remaining, we aim to finish the season in the best possible way.” Bloom continued: “Fabian’s principles and approach align perfectly with our values as a club, and we are thrilled to have reached this new, extended agreement. It reflects our commitment to a shared long-term vision.”

Hurzeler took over the Seagulls from St. Pauli in the summer of 2024, leading them to an eighth-place finish in his debut season. He could improve on that record with three matches still to play this term, and European qualification appears highly likely. Brighton faces Wolves this weekend, before closing the season against Leeds and Manchester United in their final two fixtures.
