Asked whether he plans to play a 24th season, James responded, “To be honest, I don’t know right now. We just suffered a defeat, and the emotions are still fresh. I’m not sure what the future holds… I’ll take a step back, spend time with my family, and figure things out. When the time is right and I make a decision, everyone will know.”
Reflecting on his time with the Lakers, James highlighted the importance of the 2020 championship. “Winning that title was the most meaningful achievement. That’s exactly why I came here—to restore the team’s competitive level and bring it back to the prominence it once had.”
