A footballer from FC Isloch has voiced strong dissatisfaction with the playing surfaces used in the Belarusian Premier League, comparing them unfavorably to European standards.
“Sometimes you look at our pitches, like those at ‘Mayakovka’ or ‘Dynamo-Yuni’, and you realize that in Europe no one has played at that level for a long time. If they saw our fields, they probably wouldn’t believe that matches could even be held on such surfaces,” the player stated in an interview.
According to the forward, even youth teams in Europe train under far better conditions.
“Their five-year-olds practice on surfaces that are often superior to what we play on for a significant part of the season,” he added.
The player also emphasized that Belarusian football urgently needs new stadiums and improved infrastructure.
After seven rounds of the Belarusian championship, Isloch sits ninth in the league standings. This season, the forward has made 10 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
